Morningside; The domain of some unique amphibians in the eastern part of Sinharaja tropical rain forest, Sri Lanka.

AMPHIBIANS Acquisition of the possession at darkness Night is also an ideal time to meet “Morningside” the most feared area of authority inhabited by the rackety creatures, Amphibians. Unheard of elsewhere in the island, the amphibian fauna of Morningside knurled cloud forest with open Patana type meadows is conquered by shrub frogs of the genus  Psudophlautus  which are terrestrial direct developers and many of which are habitat specialists, often requiring the shade of a canopy covered forest for survival. Description of 111 valid amphibian species have been recorded from Sri Lanka up to 2012, comprising 95 endemic species and 03 endemic genera known as  Adenomus ,  Lankanectes  and  Nannophrys .    When the distribution of  Pseudophilautus  in   the   Eastern Sinharaja is distinct evolutionary lineages representative of the major clades of  Pseudophilautus  in Sri Lanka.
